About Salt Lake Web Central

Hello! My name is Troy Thomas and I am the founder of Salt Lake Web Central.

From its inception Salt Lake Web Central’s (SLWC) main goal has been to provide an easier and less expensive way for small to medium sized businesses to manage their own website. We strive to provide a full range of services and tools to help local Salt Lake City business owners manage their own website and market their products and services online.

We intend to help close the gap between local businesses and local Salt Lake City consumers by offering useful social media based tools that not only improve the way people can shop online locally, but give businesses a way to connect with other relevant local businesses for link and banner exchanges.

Enough about that let me tell you a little about myself.

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and at a very early age started working on computers.  At 20 I co-founded a business named Storm Company; we built custom networks for local businesses and eventually got into streaming media and live broadcasting on the Internet.  We did everything from football games to Las Vegas conventions, even won an award for excellence in innovation from the NAB!

Since I started in the Internet technology industry in the early 90’s I have helped literally thousands of businesses get their websites online and marketed.  In that time I have learned that the biggest hurdle small businesses have is their reliance on the development company for all their maintenance needs.

I found 98% of the websites on the Internet never change; these websites seemed to be more like a static billboard to me rather than a dynamic portal to a business.  What a waste I thought!

After years of seeing poorly made, difficult to maintain websites, and of course the huge increase in local searches over the past few years, I decided to try to fix the problem so SLWC was born.

Salt Lake Web Central is not just another web design and marketing company though, we are a community of web designers and Internet marketing experts all dedicated to your project.  We are so serious about what we do we made a series of websites that specialize in each service we cover.
